May is Motorcycle Awareness Month here in Michigan and I decided that I
needed to do my part in making others aware of motorcycles and also to
vent some pent up rage on a couple of punks.

I respect those motorcyclists who follow the rules of the road and are
out just to do a little bit of cruising. However, there's a few bad
apples in the bunch that want to show of their multi-colored bikes and
multi-colored helmets with their multi-colored outfits. These apples are
a scourge that need to be eradicated or dealt a very harsh lesson that
they soon will not forget.

Let's look at one of those multi-colored boys who like to ride down the
highway while popping a wheelie. (Is that the correct term? I don't
know.) They think they're cool because they can zoom down the road on
the back wheel only, which makes me very aware of what they're trying to
do.

I find sticking anything through the back wheel caused the rider to
develop their own sense of awareness. I can almost hear them screaming
"Look! I can fly!" as they do a triple flip before smacking onto the
pavement. As they hit, they achieve awareness that what they just did
was really stupid and maybe they should think before they drive again.

Then there's those multi-colored boys who think they can go as fast as
they can down the road. That is until a car magically appears in front
of them causing them to either run into the vehicle or try to avoid and
the thumbtacks that magically appeared in the road.

Awareness strikes when they find that they're lodged in the back window
of the car that stopped their forward motion, or it strikes when they're
trying to gain control of a machine suddenly riding on metal rims.

Now, I've never actually harmed a motorcyclist nor do I expect to be
harming any at any time. However, I can fantasize about the
multi-colored boys (but not in THAT way) because I'm just trying to do
my best in making our roads the safest possible.

With that said, I think all Grand Ams should be outlawed. There's too
many of them on the road and they now rank right up there as my most
detested vehicle along with minivans and Humvees.

Let's see what my list of hated vehicles is now, in no particular order:

1) Minivans

2) Humvees

3) Grand Ams

4) Multi-colored motorcycles

5) All SUVs

Therefore, I think it's time car manufacturers go back to when vehicles
were good and safe and bring back the panelled station wagons. Ford
FIestas are good to especially with the price of gas. The boxey (boxy?)
Volvos are good as are conversion vans.

Those should be the only vehicles made for use in the USA. It's just a
dream I have and since Ford and GM are having severe money problems
right now I can only hope that they take my ideas and turn them into
reality which would only make this a better country and a better world
if they decide to get into the export business.
