He's Baaaaack...
by Bob Senitram
Well, well, well...seems just when I think I'm "out"....
They puuuuull me back in. I had to take some time off, you know for the kids. Seems like only yesterday I was announcing the birth of Baby Gurl, but she's just turned three years old. We're lucky, me and my wife both work and live comfortably, so I'm happy baby gurl gets all she needs.
So for her third birthday I build me a swing set for the kid, which was supposed to be ready for her birthday party outside, but I was still building it when the party started. Needless to say I was surrounded by kids, who wanted to swing, while I finished. Now I'm kind of a safety freak when baby gurl is concerned, let's face it...kids are stupid. They'll try to eat a hammer if left on their own accord, so I keep a close eye on them kids and was constantly yelling at them to stay clear.
This made construction even harder, 'cause I had to keep shooing away the little fuck-fucks, while I was a-building. I was really getting pissed off, I tried to hide it, but I think folks noticed and thought I was a bad parent. Doesn't matter, I calmed down once the project was completed.
I guess I was thinking about that because, today I had to dig holes where the poles go and dump some morter in, and stake it so the swing don't tip over when the kid go real high. I thought I was done a week ago, but it just goes to show ya' your never finished when you got kids.
Enough about that, now a look at the world:
The War on Terror!
Ain't that the craziest thing you ever heard. It's impossible to win, here's why. Terror is an emotion. You can't defeat an emotion. So why have we declared war on an emotion. My guess is it's a mistake. Bush just ain't that good with words.
But maybe there was more too it. Maybe he just pretends to be stupid, so we are caught off-guard. Here's why the invasion of Iraq was supported by Americans on an emotional level:
After 9-11, folks wanted an enemy to war against, Osama had gotten away, and Bush was hoping for an easy victory, so he could delare the "War on Terror - WON!!!" He used an emotion to fuel his war...that's why American ignored the lack of evidence for WMD's.
I'm kinda annoyed when folks say, "Bush mislead the public about WMD's." As much as I dislike his policies at that time, I don't think he mislead anybody. He never produced any concrete evidence for WMD's at any time. The public was just...stupid for believing his unsupported claims. They were running on 'hear-say' and emotions. Not a good way to make decisions. If you read my columns from a few years ago, you'll see I never believed that WMD stuff.
