Song in my head:
"...in cars - tsssshhhhhh,
doot, daa-doot, da, do-do, do-do-do-doot..."
- Gary Neumann -
Last week I heard "Cars" by Gary Neumann and that made me think about Josh Blanc's web site "Dark Alien Light," which made me think of his other web site "Manitou's Lair",
which made me think of his story "Death of a Sockpuppet",
which in turn made me think of the second installment, "Return of Mr. Sockforahead,"
which made me think, "I sure wish there was another 'Mr. Sockforahead" story!"

By some freak occurance, this Tuesday I got an email from Mr Blanc which included the soon-to-be-blockbuster-in-a-theatre-near-you,
"Mr. Sockforahead Doesn't Live Here Anymore."
You see the "Mr. Sockforahead" series holds a special place here at TheWeirdcrap.com. Back when we were
in our infancy we got about 5 page views a week. We begged and pleaded with folks to exchange links and to submit
stories to our site, but everybody said, "Naaaay." That is until Good ol' Josh came to the plate and
let us post, "Death of a Sockpuppet."
We had dreamed of having an online collection of good stories written by amateur writers. Now, almost 5 years
later we have a huge supply of strange stories, with over 1 million page views a month, which all started with
the early contributors like Josh, who got the ball rolling.
THANKS JOSH!!!
Look for "Mr. Sockforahead Doesn't Live Here Anymore" within the next few months (we still post stories
on a first come, first serve, basis.)
Here's the rules for submiting your own short story.
Hey I'm a day late writing this column. Couldn't be helped, this is a busy time of year for me. I planned on
sitting own and writing the column Thursday night, but by the time a put Baby-Gurl to bed, it was 8:30 pm, then
there were dishes to do and a lot of "picking up." Even though I worked in "Super-Speed,"
just like Superman, I still didn't finish until 9:15 pm. By then I was just too tired to even want to sit down
and write...I had a beer and went to bed.
Your probably wondering, "Hey, this is the column before election day and Bob hasn't said a thing about politics?"
Well wonder no longer, I included a nice Lance-Lot-Link-List of articles I wrote that explain why you should vote
for Goood Ol' G-W!
That's it, that's all there is...now get back to work, and don't forget to vote!
