Song in my head:
"I AM,
IRON MAN..."
- Black Sabbath -
That Presidential debate was very painful to watch. Bush should have studied. But I found out why he had a loss
of words and squinted so much...he was looking for Cheney with the Queue Cards.
On the vice president debates, I liked watching Dick Cheney roll his hands together when he spoke. I was hoping
to see him give a financial figure, like let's say..."ONE MILLION DOLLARS." Then put his pinky in the
corner of his mouth...but it never happened and sat in a slump until the end of the debate.
The contrast of the closing comments made the whole thing worth it. Edwards spoke of hope, prosperity, and a new
light. Cheney reminded us that the Edward's hippy-pipe dream is bunch of shit...there is no hope, there is no prosperity,
but there is a terrorist right around the corner! The choice is simple, vote Cheney or die. "FOUR MORE YEARS
OF HATE AND FEAR!!!
About the Republican mind control thing, I'm not entirely certain that it was set up on purpose, I'm not even certain
that it's being carried out deliberately, but here's what I came up with:
Conservatives basically live in a world of contradiction, this is the first step. For example, a conservative
or republican will say a liberal or democrat doesn't agree with them because they're stupid, uneducated, or inferior.
At the same time, they will emphasize that democrats are a party of the elite, professors sitting, smoking pipes,
and discussing politics - they don't identify with the common man like ol' "G-W." Both views are opposites,
but they fully believe both.
Like the white supremist who fails a test, and insists he's smarter than the black man who aced it. He supplements
the fractured logic with excuses. Many Conservatives / Republicans fully believe both sides of contradictions.
The next step is to make sure the target denies factual truths (what he sees or hears). Since the policies of
the Republican Party has a record of constant failure, they have to tell themselves that all information is a conspiracy
of liberals, who use schools and the news media to misrepresent the truth. This mind set has been going on for
so long, generations of people have been raised - not to believe what they see.
For a long time, I also believed that all news media was trying to trick me into believing their own agenda. It's
just my paranoid nature. Then I started to watch "Fox News" and my mind started to change.
Well this is not what I expected, but I watched for the facts, just the facts, just the events, just the news...then
I compared it to the news on CNN and networks. Same news...same information...same, same, same. Opinions...different,
facts...same.
Then I watched the opinions of people I know who are conservatives and the commentators on Fox. Often they would
deny the reality of events that were confirmed by all sides. That's when it came to me, they were not denying
the opinions, they denied the reality...and that void needs to be filled somehow.
This is a perfect set up for mind control. All the conservatives and Republicans needed was someone like "Good
ol' W", to come in and say, "Don't believe what you see...believe me..." And that's just what he
did. I think George is the first politician to tell people to believe the exact opposite of reality.
For example, surplus to deficit...unless you're a moron, you should know this is bad. But Bush supporter's say
the economy is getting better, it could be worse, then say we need to give Bush a chance to finish his economic
plan, he hasn't had enough time, the war and 911 changed things, blah, blah, blah, me, me, me. Show me someone
who has failed and I'll give you list of excuses.
So the conservative says they economy is getting better thanks to Bush, then they make a list of reasons why it's
not going so well. So the belief is that Bush is doing a good and a bad on the economy at the same time, but the
bad job part is ok, because we have a handy-dandy list of excuses. The end result is the same; to believe Bush
will make the economy better is denying reality.
The Republicans and Conservatives are in such a gullible trance; I think Bush could make them do just about anything.
This is why I believe if Bush looses the election, he may get Rumsfield to roll tanks around the White House and
just not leave. A military take-over and half the population would say it's OK, if Bush told them to think that
its OK.
