Ask Bob - 03/19/04

Song in my head:
"I'm just sittin' here watching the wheels go 'round n' 'round,
I just love to watch 'em roll...'"
- John Lennon -

Since today is the official anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq, I decided to make it national "
Ask Bob, I told you so" day.

First of all, the general public of the US were complete idiots to follow an illegitimate president to war. If there is any doubt that Bush was thrust into office in a political-judicial coup d'état, then I provide pretty good proof in my column from
03/06/01.

Next, after 9-11, Bush claimed that he would take the "high road" by not backing down to terrirists, which in a way I agree with; however, he was referring to military action. Violence really shouldn't be considered the "high road," it's more like the "low down and dirty road." If you want to take the high road you have to admit you were wrong in some cases, as I demonstrated back on
10/19/01.

Two years ago, Bush claimed that attacking Iraq would "put terrorists on the run," I concluded on
11/08/02 that the exact opposite would happen. Al Quaida, was as much anti-Saddam as the US. This is because Saddam's Iraq was not a traditional Muslim state, furthermore; his extreme brand of saddistic punishment made it almost impossible for Osama to recruit new members.

As a result, George Bush's war for re-election only opened the door for terrorist groups to enter and start recruiting because Bush and Osama had the same objectives (
02/14/03). In short, instead of fighting terrorism, Bush became the unwitting patsy to an Al Quaida recruitment sceme. I wouldn't be surprised to find that the "evidence" that Iraq has WMD's was feed to Bush by Osama himself.

I have to admit, it's hard to know what to do. Peaceful people don't want war, but the Afganistan military action did seem necessary, while the Iraq war seemed to be noting but a ploy for Bush to increase his popularity - and it did work (
04/18/03). Perhaps in the future, in the war to end wars, all the non-evolved members of the human race will kill each other off, leaving the peaceful people.

When it's all said and done,
we went into Iraq with the objective to disarm them from WMD's, but there was nothing to disarm them from. So now we come out and pretend that our objective is, and always has been, to take Saddam from power because he supported a "safe haven" for terrorists.

Classic bait and switch for the idiot masses (
04/12/03).

Fact of the matter is, Bush created a "safe haven" for terrorists in Iraq by destroying their government and then took power with no post war plan. Quite a favor to Al Quaida. Perhaps Osama will launder some money into Bush's campain trail, he'll get reelected, an more Americans will die.

Gee, thanks.

P.S. While I'm on the subject of "I told you so's," Martha Stewart really is a bitch, as I explained on
08/24/01!

And now you know!
